The event is going to be held on Indy '99 track (IMS): http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=3794

NECESSARY FILE
To have your car replaced in the pits (and not on the straight) after Shift-R, you need to download this file from here: file, and unzip in ".../GPL/tracks/ims" overwriting (or after having renamed) the old one.

PRACTICE
There will be 4 sessions of practice of 120', but nobody will be allowed to participate in more than 2, on these dates: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

RACE: the race will be held xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx at xxxxxxxxxxx
Appointment from 8.15pm on Chatroom: "indy500"
JOINING THE SERVER: each concurrent will join the server just after being called (to respect the qualifying positions).
Once on the server it will be strictly forbidden to enter on the track (anyone disrespecting this rule, at the start must wait for all the rest of the grid to move, keeping the last position).

START
there's going to be the typical Indy "flying start": the group will move slowly from the straight opposite to the start/finish line.
- The poleman starts when the red writing "press F1 for help" appears, then the rest of the group can move.
- Everyone must keep his track side (internal or external) up to the start/finish line.
- It's obligatory to keep in 2° gear up to the end of T4.
- It's obligatory not to overtake up to the start/finish line (1). From the start/finish line begins the proper race.

PIT STOPS
Way in: It's obligatory to have the 2° gear from the start of the pit wall (3).
Stop: in the race who's going to stop /once must wait xxxxxxxxxx" /twice must wait xxxxxxxxxx"/ 3 times xxxxxxxxx"/ 4 times xxxxxxxxx" (2).
In the pitstop you must press Shift-R every few seconds (not to be kicked out by the server).
Way out: It's obligatory to have 2° gear and to keep in the internal lane up to the end of T2 (3).

SHIFT-R
Shift-R is allowed just in the pits.
Shift-R is not allowed, even if one reaches the pits, in case of loss of wheel or damaged engine. In this situation one must retire (4).

BEHAVIOUR
It's recommended to be prudent at the start: the race is 200 laps long and there are going to be infinite chances of overtaking.
It's recommended to respect the "GPL Recommended Driver Behaviour" (5).





(1) whoever doesn't respect this rule will be penalized with 10" on the final standings.

(2) whoever waits for a shorter time will be penalized with 10" on the final standings plus the time stolen in the stop.

(3) whoever doesn't respect this rule will be penalized with 15" on the final standings.

(4) whoever doesn't respect this rule will be disqualified at the end of the race.

(5) any clearly dangerous behaviour (noticed or signalled) will be penalized with 10" or with the loss of 1 position on the final standings, depending on the importance of the episode.
The restitution, if possible, of an ill-gotten position would avoid this penalty.

PROVE
Si terranno 4 sessioni di prova da 120 minuti, ma ogni concorrente non potra' partecipare a piu' di 2 (pena la qualificazione in griglia con il giro piu' veloce della sua sessione piu' lenta), nei seguenti giorni e orari:xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

GARA: la gara si terra' xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx alle ore xxxxxxxxxxx
Appuntamento dalle 20.15 su Chatroom: "indy500"
ENTRATA SUL SERVER: i concorrenti entreranno uno alla volta sul server solo quando verranno chiamati (in ordine di tempi di qualificazione).
Una volta sul server sara' assolutamente vietato scendere in pista (chi lo facesse si dovra' fare sfilare da tutto il gruppo alla partenza, quindi partire ultimo).

PARTENZA
La partenza sara' lanciata: si parte lentamente dal rettilineo opposto al traguardo.
- Il poleman parte quando compare la scritta rossa "premi F1 per la guida", il gruppo puo' quindi partire.
- Ognuno deve mantenersi sul suo lato di pista (int. o est.) fino alla linea del traguardo.
- Obbligo 2° marcia fino all'uscita della T4.
- Obbligo non sorpasso fino a linea traguardo (1). Dalla linea del traguardo comincia la corsa.

PIT STOPS
Entrata: Obbligo di procedere in 2° marcia da inizio muretto box (3).
Sosta: chi intende effettuare 1 sosta dovra' attendere xxxxxxxxxx", chi 2 xxxxxxxxxx", chi 3 xxxxxxxxx", chi 4 xxxxxxxxx" (2).
Chi è fermo al box deve shift-errare (quanto vuole) ogni pochi secondi per evitare di essere buttato fuori dal server.
Uscita: all'uscita obbligo di 2° marcia e di mantenersi nella corsia di lancio interna fino all'uscita della T2 (3).

SHIFT-R
L'uso di Shift-R è permesso solo ai box.
Chi senza una ruota o con motore danneggiato deve ritirarsi dalla corsa, anche se in grado di raggiungere i box (4).

COMPORTAMENTO
Si consiglia prudenza alla partenza: è una gara di 200 giri con infinite possibilità di sorpasso.
Si raccomanda di attenersi al "GPL Recommended Driver Behaviour" (5).





(1) chi non rispetterà questa regola subira', per ogni posizione guadagnata, una penalizzazione di 10" sulla classifica finale.

(2) chi sostera' per un tempo inferiore subira' sulla classifica finale una penalizzazione di 10" per ogni volta + il tempo sottratto alla sosta.

(3) chi non rispetterà questa regola subira' penalizzazione di 15" sulla classifica finale.

(4) chi non rispetterà questa regola verra' comunque squalificato a fine corsa.

(5) un comportamento (rilevato o segnalato) ritenuto chiaramente pericoloso sara' sanzionato con una penalizzazione di 10" o la retrocessione di 1 posizione nella classifica finale, a seconda dell'importanza dell'accaduto.
La restituzione, ove possibile, di una posizione maltolta eviterebbe questa sanzione.
