Introduction

Hi everyone,
this is my fool idea: a single event: an Indy 500 miles (200 laps)! with pistops! with free car choice.
The idea is not that fool for the 200 laps (actually this is fool enough), but mainly because, as some of you know (I didn't until a few days ago), GPL doesn't allow races longer than 127 laps (cause the sim stops recording data at that spot). But that doesn't mean you can't carrie on driving, in fact the petrol consumption continues as well as the replay recording (it's going to be useful to resolve eventual doubts on the final standings), and pribluda giving the distances from the opponents.
Who's interested will use a manual method to count the remaining 73 laps after the 127°.
The awarness that Indy in GPL per se doesn't attract many fans (boring?), as well as a race 3 hours long (heavy?), joint with the handicap of the darkness of the last 73 laps, pushed me to appeal by the GPL leagues I know to scrape together, out of 6 billions ;-), 19 people willing to spend 3 hours in this job.

The file allowing to reposition the car in the pits after pressing Shift-R (that every participant MUST install) was created by me starting from the original .lp file thanks to the indispensable help of Bob Bernhardt (President of NAGPL), and the files he kindly gave in occasion of my participation to the event Indy of NAGPL, from wich mine is inspired.

I want to thank Bo Bruce (oAo), Jose' Luis Lopez Nieto (Gaiztor) for their kindness and helpfulness in advertizing this event in the forum of their important leagues, Francesco Molteni and Ginetto (Mods and track makers) for helping in the late and desperate trial to bypass the 127 laps limit by involving the elite of the GPL Repository.
And Carsten Theile for the first technical consulence (he gave me the news of the laps limit).
